Cox offers free calls to Japan

WEST WARWICK – Cox Communications is offering free telephone calls to Japan through March 31.
Cox said on March 15 that calls placed to country code 81 with Cox Digital Telephone to both landline and cellular telephones will be free of charge and retroactive to March 11.
“We want to make it easier for our customers to get in touch with their friends and family members in Japan and stay informed of the situation during this terrible tragedy,” said Doreen Studley, vice president of marketing, Cox New England.
The program is valid for all residential Cox Digital Telephone customers with long distance service.
