PROVIDENCE – FlexJobs, an online service for those looking for telecommuting, freelance and other jobs for remote workers, said CVS Health Corp. is on its list of 100 Top Companies with Remote Jobs in 2019.
“CVS landed 69th on the list this year and they’ve made the Top 100 list all six years, which shows their ongoing commitment to providing remote work,” Brie Reynolds, senior career specialist at FlexJobs, told PBN.

UnitedHealth Group Inc., with offices in Rhode Island, also made the list at No. 10, as did Amazon.com Inc. (No. 6), which has a warehouse in Fall River; Amgen Inc. (No. 38), with a location in West Greenwich; Humana Inc. (No. 42); and General Dynamics Corp. (No. 93), the parent company of General Dynamics Electric Boat, based in Groton, Conn., but with an office in Newport. Amazon and UnitedHealth were among the top 10 companies with the highest number of remote jobs posted in 2018, according to a news release.
Though not on the most recent list, other remote-friendly companies based in Rhode Island include Lifespan Corp., the Bureau of Internet Accessibility, Citizens Bank, Groove, LearningWorks, Batchbook, Lullabot, Digication, and the Kingston Chamber Music Festival in South Kingstown, according to FlexJobs.
It lists the top seven categories for remote work overall as computer and information technology; medical and health; sales; education and training; customer service; finance; and human resources and recruiting.
“We expect 2019 to continue to be a job seekers market, where companies will need to offer flexible/remote benefits to remain competitive and attract and retain the best talent,” said Sara Sutton, founder and CEO of FlexJobs.
It’s the sixth year FlexJobs has put out the top 100 remote companies list.
