Dr. Nicole Grenier

PBN 40 UNDER FORTY 2020 AWARD WINNER Dr. Nicole Grenier, 39 | Vice chair of clinical operations, Brown Dermatology

How has COVID-19 impacted your work-life balance? The pandemic has been a true challenge. We initially shifted to telemedicine and then reconstructed our workflow to see patients safely in our offices. I was able to devote a large amount of time on nights and weekends to our shifting landscape thanks to my husband’s help with our other responsibilities.

Where do you see yourself in five years? I will continue to be a dedicated dermatologist to my patients and hope to further develop my leadership skills to better organize our burgeoning practice.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Worry less. When I was in school, my mom once jokingly told me she would pay me to get Cs and Ds so I would stop all the perfectionism. I laugh at the things back then that seemed so crucial yet are meaningless now.
