AT A TIME when the COVID-19 pandemic has left many people fearful of eating in restaurants, Feast & Fettle Inc. provides a solution.
Feast & Fettle has about 700 clients. Feast & Fettle founder and Chief Product Officer Maggie Mulvena Pearson said that number had doubled each year since she started in 2016, but so far this year it has tripled. Clients of the East Providence-based meal preparation and delivery service company get to choose from a varied menu of entrees and sides that gets changed each week. The food is delivered by the company’s fleet of vans.
“It seems like our model was designed for this situation,” Pearson said.
Pearson started the company at the Warren-based food business incubator Hope & Main. Pearson said that when she left Hope & Main, it became apparent she needed assistance with overseeing Feast & Fettle’s finances.
In 2018, she called Carlos Ventura, who is now CEO, who had a background in both investment banking and the food delivery business. Ventura said the company’s sweet spot is in affluent suburbs, where two-career households often need some cooking help.
