(Providence-RI) The lawsuit filed last March by Edge 1 productions against Global Broadcasting and WLNE/ABC6 reporter Parker Gavigan has been dismissed with prejudice. Edge 1 productions filed suit on behalf of its subsidiary ACT, a company that hosts talent searches for children, after an investigative report aired on WLNE/ABC6.
In the interests of judicial economy and expediency, as well as the best interests of the plaintiff’s and defendants’ employees, the plaintiff Edge 1 Productions and defendants Global Broadcasting, LLC and Parker Gavigan have agreed to dismiss the lawsuit pending between them with prejudice. Neither party paid any money to the other in exchange for this dismissal nor does any party admit liability or wrong doing. The parties did agree that they will not have any further comment on the dismissal of the lawsuit.
