  1. Our business has used a broker (actually several different brokers) for more than twenty years and rates have escalated consistently and sometimes wildly. The Health Insurance Commissioner has been in office only a few years and he seems to be making a difference. The brokers get a cut of whatever we pay, the higher our cost the bigger their commissions. The Commissioner works for all the taxpayers. This small business sides with the commissioner.
