
WARWICK – Air service to Florida from T.F. Green Airport is picking up quickly after a hiatus of several months.
JetBlue Airways will resume its service at the airport on July 2 with four-day-a-week service to Ft. Lauderdale. Daily flights to Tampa and Fort Myers on the low-cost carrier will begin Oct. 1. The new routes will complement service to West Palm Beach and Orlando that will begin in August.

The carrier indicated that it was adding service to areas of the country where leisure travel was showing signs of strength, according to a news release.
Meanwhile, Frontier Airlines this winter will resume nonstop flights to Miami from T.F. Green for the first time in more than a year, the airport announced Thursday.
The increased service on Frontier also will include nonstop flights to Fort Myers and Tampa. The Miami service will be five direct flights a week, starting Dec. 17.
The Fort Myers and Tampa service will begin Nov. 13. At that time, the current Orlando service will become twice daily.
Frontier Airlines, a low-cost carrier, this week returned to Rhode Island with service to Orlando. The service ended a two-month stoppage caused by reduced passenger travel as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
