JOHNSTON – Global insurer FM Global recently awarded 10 local college students scholarships of up to $3,500 a year.
The recipients join about 100 students from the U.S. and abroad who are receiving money from the FM Global Scholarship Program. Since it was formed, the fund has awarded more than 700 scholarships totaling more than $2 million.
Local students, their school and field of study include: Adele V. Bubnys of Cumberland, Wesleyan University freshman, biochemistry; Jacob I. Deneff of Warwick, University of Connecticut freshman, chemical engineering; Thomas P. DeRensis of Scituate, University of Rhode Island junior, computer engineering; Grace E. Fox of Warwick, Assumption College junior, accounting; Sindhuja Koppaka of North Kingstown, Boston University freshman, premedical studies; Henry J. Przybylowicz III of Johnston, George Washington University sophomore, pre-health studies; Rachel M. Snead of Cranston, URI sophomore, pre-veterinary animal science.
Also, Brittany LeClair of Taunton, Suffolk University junior, business management; Ross LeClair of Taunton, New York University freshman, in dance; Aric D. Mazick of Seekonk, Roger Williams University freshman; elementary education. •
