JOHNSTON — FM Global’s senior vice president and chief financial officer Jeffrey A. Burchill has been named one of the “100 Most Influential People in Finance” by Treasury & Risk magazine, a business finance publication.
In recognizing Burchill, a resident of Cumberland, Treasury & Risk said, “Amid economic turbulence, Burchill’s strategies on capital and liquidity have helped keep FM Global, one of the world’s largest business property insurers, debt free, financially strong and very liquid.”
Earlier this year, Treasury & Risk named Burchill as one of three “CFO’s to Watch” in 2009. Burchill joined FM Global in 1974 and has been senior vice president and CFO since 1999.
Others on the “100 Most Influential People in Finance” include President Barack Obama, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Jamie Dimon, CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase.
