GlassHouse CEO joins Mobiquity board

BOSTON – Mark Shirman, president and CEO of GlassHouse Technologies, joined Mobiquity’s board of directors, the firm announced last week.
Boston-based Mobiquity, which launched in March with $5 million in funding, helps businesses develop and implement strategies for mobile technology and devices
Joel Evans, former CEO of Cronk Software, joined Mobiquity in April as vice president of application development and will head a Rhode Island development hub.
Shirman founded GlassHouse, which provides data center consulting, in 2001. He received the CEO of the Year award in New England from Ernst & Young in 2010.
“To maintain a competitive advantage, the Global 2000 must keep pace with proliferation of mobile, which industry experts believe will only accelerate in the coming years,” Shirman said in a statement.
“I believe Mobiquity has an enormous opportunity to offer clients a holistic range of mobile offerings – from strategy development through deployment – and I’m delighted to lend my perspective and expertise as part of its board of directors.”
