PROVIDENCE – The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce has postponed its Economic Outlook Luncheon that was scheduled for Friday until a September date to be announced, citing a scheduling conflict with featured speaker Sandra E. Peterson had been scheduled to participate in a moderated conversation with Gov. Gina M. Raimondo. As of last Friday, the governor had no public events scheduled the day of the event.

“We apologize for the change in schedule, but we believe it is the right decision to hold off until that time so that we can officially welcome Ms. Peterson, herself, to Rhode Island,” the Chamber said in a statement.
