“We believed giving back to the community was the right thing to do and a way to generate good karma,” said Martin King, Gurnet’s founder and CEO, who saw his company generate 72.7% revenue growth in 2022 compared with 2020. “We hoped that by doing good, we would receive good once the economy improved and our hopes were fulfilled.”
Gurnet on Sept. 13 announced that it was acquired by Austin, Texas-based management consulting firm Praecipio for an undisclosed amount. The company, which will still have operations in Providence, will be known as Praecipio going forward.
