(Middletown, R.I.) — The Child & Family Foster Care Program and the Children and Teens of Child & Family’s Residential Homes will host its second annual Art Show, Thursday December 17 from 5-7PM at the new Child and Family Community Center, 31 John Clarke Road in Middletown. The public is welcomed to view works of art created by children in the Child and Family program between the ages of 6 and 18.

“The children and teens in Child & Family’s Residential Homes have been extremely busy preparing artwork expressing what they “Wish” for during the holidays, and in their lives,” according to Denise DiGangi, Child and Family Foster Care Program Manager. “The first Art Show was hosted at the Newport Art Museum’s Coleman Center. This year we are please to display the art at the new Child & Family Community Center in the Vera C. Mason Community Room.”
“It is sure to be a terrific display from our talented children and teens,” stated Peter M. DiBari, President & CEO of Child and Family. “We hope the community will join us for and enjoyable evening and refreshments. Child & Family’s Residential Homes provide children and teens with home-like, nurturing, safe, and therapeutic environments. In 2008, over 200 children and teens ages 6 through 20 lived in Child & Family Residential Homes located in Newport County. Through collaborative team efforts, Child & Family was able to reunite families or find alternative family placement options for almost 80% of the children and teens in their care last year.
