EAST GREENWICH – Hewlett-Packard Co. has given 16 computers to the New England Institute of Technology’s high-tech game simulation lab.
HP and its local partner, CompUtopia, donated four Z800 and 12 Z200 Workstations; it did not disclose the financial cost of its donation.

Additionally, HP will sponsor two students for a visit to its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., and possibly conferences in the future.
It will be located on the second floor of the East Greenwich campus in the IT wing.
“For our video and gaming students, I can’t think of a better company to become involved with than Hewlett-Packard,” said Allan Langer, NEIT vice president for development and alumni relations.
NEIT said it will also install high-definition monitors, HP Digital Signage Solutions, throughout the campus. NEIT will be the national showcase model for HP’s digital signage division, it said.
