Hsu named new JWU provost

PROVIDENCE – In a statement Thursday, Johnson & Wales University announced Lily S. Hsu will serve as the school’s new provost and Billye W. Auclair will assume the position of vice provost. Both women will assume their new roles as of June 1.

In a statement JWU president and COO Mim L. Runey, said: “This leadership team provides the strong foundation on which we can continue to expand our academic programming and empower our faculty and students to strive for academic excellence.”

Hsu was hired by JWU in June 2015 as vice provost. She will continue her work developing academic programming as well as further defining faculty roles and responsibilities.

Auclair, who joined JWU one month later, previously served as associate provost and will now assume responsibility of overseeing day-to-day operations of the academic administration.

Thomas Dwyer, former JWU vice chancellor and provost, will continue in his position as vice chancellor while engaged in strategic planning efforts.
