The program was designed to recognize people who are key to the success of enterprises or have had entrepreneurial success over their careers in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, people, for instance, like Ron Yanku, the plant operations director for Edesia Inc., the maker of peanut-based nutritional products that have been saving starving children across the globe for more than a decade. Edesia founder and CEO Navyn Salem said in the special section profile of Yanku, “Every quarter since we started, he has found a way to reduce the cost of our humanitarian product so we can reach more children with the same dollars.”
