iResolve aims at keeping pledges

PROVIDENCE – If your yearly New Year’s resolution doesn’t last long before you start reaching for that box of chocolates or “accidentally” let your gym membership slide, check out the iResolve Web application.
iResolve, created by public-relations firm (add)ventures on Dec. 22, allows you to share your resolutions (“Sing at the top of my lungs no matter who is watching,” “learn how to cook something that doesn’t come in a can”) on social networks and “gift” resolutions to friends.
It will also send you periodical reminders throughout the year.
“Going social with your goals and resolutions creates accountability among your social communities. Once you set a goal in front of hundreds of your friends and family, you’re more likely to commit to achieving that goal,” said Steve Rosa, CEO of (add)ventures.
Nevertheless, if publicizing your resolution is too much pressure, they can also be kept private.
