James Carr has been appointed chairman of BuildRI. Carr is the owner of H. Carr & Sons Inc. and has been a BuildRI board member since the organization’s inception in 1999. In his new position, he replaces BuildRI’s founding chairman, Leo V. Marshall, of J.L. Marshall & Sons Inc., who will remain on the board of as a director. Carr holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. •
