What is the best advice you have ever received? To trust my instincts. This advice has been invaluable.

Where do you see yourself in five years? I hope to be in either a senior director or senior leadership position, continuing to develop my leadership skills and mentoring the next generation of future health care leaders.

What was your first job? My first job was at the age of 16, I was a camp counselor. The experience taught me patience and responsibility, skills that I have used and will continue to use in years to come.

What moment changed your life more than any other? Receiving my first college acceptance letter was a defining moment for me. My family has always instilled the value of education and hard work. The letter represented those values.

What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Rhode Island-style calamari.

What does winning this award mean to you? It has been a career aspiration of mine to be chosen as a recipient for this award. There are a lot of individuals that do amazing work, so to be chosen is very humbling.

What is your favorite song? “Since You’ve Been Gone” by Aretha Franklin.
