What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Stay focused and trust yourself. Don’t be afraid to make a change and go after your goals.

What moment changed your life more than any other? By far the birth of my children. One of the greatest and most emotional experiences for my wife, Michelle, and I.

What is your greatest attribute that you bring to your job? I am personable and outgoing, which has assisted me in servicing and developing strong relationships with my clients and peers over the years.

What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Newport lemonade and New England clam chowder.

What was your last Netflix or Amazon Prime binge watch? “The Sons of Sam.”

What does winning this award mean to you? Winning this award has been a goal of mine. I work hard for my family, my career and the nonprofits I serve. Receiving recognition for that is something that means a lot to me, and I greatly appreciate it.

THE PROP: Two hobbies that John Rainone loves are hockey and golf. “Both are a great stress relief for me and watching/coaching my son as he enjoys them has been invaluable,” he says.
