Junior Achievement event raises $37K

Citizens-Union Savings Bank employees participated in the annual Junior Achievement Bowling Classic, raising more than $2,700 to benefit Junior Achievement programs. The 50 participating Citizens-Union employees bowled at Holiday Lanes in Westport.
The event was also held at bowling alleys in Taunton and New Bedford and raised almost $37,000 in total.
“The tremendous team effort of Citizens-Union’s employees helped make the Junior Achievement Bowling Classic a success,” said Wayne Swenson, assistant vice president at Citizens-Union Savings Bank and board member for Junior Achievement. “The bank has been a supporter of this event for many years, and realizes the value of Junior Achievement to its participants in the local community.”
Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that helps students to succeed in a global economy. Its dedicated volunteers make it possible to provide in-school and after-school programs focusing on work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. &#8226
