From 2022 to 2024, revenues at the Warwick-based catering company increased 48%, from $1 million to $1.5 million. The caterer specializes in wood-fired barbecue.

What’s driving the business? “Our growing reputation,” said Kaylyn Keane, who started the company with her husband, Padraic. “We’re known for being reliable, affordable, consistent and for excellent service.”

The good word led to an increase in vendors, not only in Keane’s bread-and-butter wedding clients but also with corporate clients and academia. Keane’s now has institutional partners such as Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design. All the buzz wasn’t by happenstance, but in part from customer reviews on social media, The Knot and Google.

As for the future, Kaylyn Keane says business looks good, but how best to handle rising costs is a dilemma. But even if it must tweak prices, Keane is confident the business can maintain its customers.
