Kent Hospital to unveil new look, website

WARWICK – Kent County Memorial Hospital plans to unveil a new “look and feel” later this month, complete with a revamped website and logo.

The changes will be launched on May 26.

The new logo, which features a design resembling a road, is meant to symbolize life’s pathway and the care that Kent has offered Rhode Islanders since it opened in 1951, according to Care New England Health System, which owns the hospital.

“This rebrand mirrors the dedication Care New England’s Kent Hospital has to helping patients achieve their desired medical goals, no matter their stage of life or illness, since we first opened our doors to the public. Thanks to a strong clinical affiliation with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, our patients at Kent Hospital are provided with, among other programs and services, cardiologists and thoracic surgeons who are considered among the best in the region, providing expert and personalized care, tailored to fit the unique needs of each individual patient,” said Dr. James E. Fanale, CNE’s CEO and president. “Kent Hospital is committed to serving all patient populations, ensuring that everyone who enters our doors feels welcome and cared for.”

One new feature at the hospital is a redesigned wall, where highlights of Kent’s 70-year history are laid out in images and text.

“The new wall captures the essence of the compassionate care that Kent Hospital has been known for throughout the decades,” said Robert Haffey, Kent’s president and chief operating officer. “Both patients and staff who walk by this wall will be enveloped within a snapshot of Rhode Island’s community that no doubt touches so many who were either born here, had surgery, or visited a loved one during recovery.”
