Lee tasked with implementing inclusion strategy as IGT’s new diversity leader

PROVIDENCE – Gaming-machine and lottery company International Game Technology PLC has hired Kim Barker Lee as vice president of diversity and inclusion, a newly created position.

In this role, Lee will develop and implement the company’s first-ever global diversity and inclusion strategy, as well as chair the Executive Diversity and Inclusion Council, comprised of global senior leaders.

Lee, who recently moved to Providence, earned a law degree from New York University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Yale College. She began at IGT in 2011 as vice president of legal and regulatory compliance for Northstar Lottery Group in Illinois, where she implemented recognized supplier-diversity programs that surpassed Northstar’s contractually established goals.
