Local firms honored by contractors’ association

EAST PROVIDENCE – Local companies Reilly Electrical Inc., Interstate Electrical Services Corporation and Advanced Building Concepts have been honored with Excellence in Construction Awards by Associated Builders & Contractors, Rhode Island Chapter.
• Reilly Electrical Inc. was honored last week – in the specialty contractor for a project costing less than $1 million category – for its work at the ENT Center of Rhode Island in Warwick. Reilly Electrical, also known as RELCO, is based in Easton, Mass., and has an office in Cranston.
• Interstate Electrical Services Corp. won – in the specialty contractor for a project costing more than $5 million category – for its work on the Genzyme Central Utility Building. Interstate is based in Warwick.
• Middletown-based Advanced Building Concepts won – in the general contractor for a project between $1 million and $5 million category – for its work at Brick Market Place Condominiums in Newport.
Winners of the annual awards, sponsored by Byrne Bonding and Insurance LLC, are eligible to enter the ABC national competition. National winners will be announced in June 2009.
