Pawtucket DJ to help abused and neglected children
PAWTUCKET, RI, March 4, 2011—The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley recently announced that Luke’s DJ Service, one of Southern New England’s premier disc jokey services and entertainment specialists, will provide the music for the shelter’s Fourth Annual Fashion Show, scheduled to be held at the Twin River Event Center, Lincoln, March 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This year’s show will feature the latest casual and formal wear for men, women, and children. Cocktails and a preview of the silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets for the fashion show will be available through March 15. They are $40 each and $400 for a table of 10. To purchase tickets, call the Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley at 401-722-4626. Sponsorships are available as well.
This is the second consecutive year that Luke’s is participating in the fashion show. Founded in 1983 by Luke T. Renchan, Luke’s provides music for weddings, corporate affairs, special celebrations, graduations, and proms. It features music from the 50s right up to present day, as well as hits from Big Band era and the classic groups. Luke’s won Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice Awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and The Knot Best of Weddings 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Located on Central Avenue in Pawtucket, Luke’s recently opened a second location in Newport.
The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley is a private, non-profit emergency shelter supporting children of abuse and neglect in Rhode Island, ranging in ages from a few weeks old to 12 years old. The shelter provides emergency housing, a highly trained staff, and a fulltime clinician. The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley was founded in 1979.
