MIDDLETOWN – McLaughlin Research Corp. has won a task order with the U.S. Navy that has a potential value of $5 million over the next five years for technical support of cruise-missile programs at the Naval Undersea Warfare Division, the company announced on Oct. 8.
McLaughlin will repair and refurbish the Tomahawk cruise-missile system and the encapsulated harpoon weapon system. It also will test training vehicles and simulators in Newport. Additionally, the company will train and certify the fleet and shore-based cruise-missile facilities under the task order.

McLaughlin will work with SAIC as a subcontractor on the project.
