Ms. Smith was formerly with Arthur D. Little Company.  She has also been an independent video producer and high school teacher.  She serves as Vice Chair on The Boston Club’s Corporate Board Committee.  She also serves on the advisory board of ESC New England and is active in the Human Resource Leadership Forum.  She holds a BS from the University of Rhode Island and attended Boston University’s Public Communications Institute.

Prior to joining New Directions, Mr. Pease spent 16 years in executive search, most recently as a partner at Heidrick & Struggles where he helped find management talent for the portfolio companies of private equity firms.  Earlier, he was with Russell Reynolds Associates.  He has served on a number of nonprofit boards of directors and holds a BA from Yale University, an MBA from Boston University, and served as lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
