Patriotism bridges the centuries on Benefit Street!
For the first time, the Colonial Dames and the League
of Women Voters have teamed up in a collaboration of
historic and modern-day patriotism. From 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday the 29th of September, the League will register voters at the 1707 home of Stephen Hopkins, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, located at the foot of George Street, on Benefit Street’s “Mile of History” in Providence, Rhode Island.
Current election information will be available, registered voters may make changes of address, and the Stephen Hopkins House regular guided tours, given every Saturday from May through November, will be offered throughout the day. For more information, call the League at 401-434-6440 or visit www.lwvri.org or the Dames at nscdarhodeisland.org
