The poll of 606 registered voters in North Kingstown show 70% support the installation of a wind turbine at Stamp Farm
North Kingstown/Johnston Rhode Island — February 3, 2011 – In polling data collected on February 3, 2011, utilizing automated polling methodologies 606 North Kingstown Residents and 675 Johnston residents revealed that both communities overwhelmingly support renewable energy.

When asked if the residents supported their communities should enter into a renewable energy partnership with a renewable energy developer that would result in lowering the towns municipal energy costs the results show that in Johnston the respondents were 87% in favor and North Kingstown residents favored the partnership by an 79% – 21% margin.
The results of this poll shows overwhelming support among the residents of both communities for renewable energy in general and for the specific sites that are under consideration.
