Providence Center earns highest accreditation

PROVIDENCE – The Providence Center received a three-year accreditation, the highest level, from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, focused on its ability to provide quality, client-focused services.
“This accreditation is an indicator of [The Providence Center’s] dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served,” Brian J. Boon, president and CEO of the commission, wrote in a letter announcing the decision. “Services, personnel and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence.”
Providence Center programs cited included Child and Family, Adult Services, Residential Services and Acute Services, as well as the Crisis Stabilization Unit, which opened in August of 2010. It is the only crisis-level-of-care inpatient facility in Rhode Island to receive a commission accreditation. &#8226
