Providence parking firm sues MBTA

PROVIDENCE and BOSTON – AIM Parking Management LLC is seeking $267,000 from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in a breach-of-contract suit filed in federal District Court.
AIM contends that the MBTA has failed to compensate it for the increase in workload that resulted when the transit agency boosted commuter parking fees, according to the Associated Press.
The Providence company, which operates commuter-rail parking lots around Boston, says it now needs more workers to count the money.
The case – “AIM Parking Management v. MBTA,” case 1: 2009 cv 10033 – was filed Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Massachusetts District, according to Justia.com, which lists Judge Nancy Gertner as the presiding judge for the case.
