R.I. extends tax filing deadlines to July 15 due to COVID-19 pandemic

PROVIDENCE – No penalties or interest will apply to individuals and certain business entities who file tax returns and pay balances due on or before July 15, the R.I. Division of Taxation announced March 27. The extension of tax filing and payment deadlines from April 15 to July 15 is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
