Esteemed artist Karen Rand Anderson of Providence awarded Bronze Artist Marshall E. Poole’s sculpture “Twisted & Confused” third in show in the Wickford Art Association’s abstract/avant-garde open juried show.

You can now see Marshall’s art at his “One Person” show within a show at the Wickford Art Association. There is an opening reception Friday January 16 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Marshalls show will run for two weeks ending on January 29, 2016. At his opening, Marshall will be giving a 10-minute synopsis of how he creates his art.

Marshall Poole lives and creates his bronze art in North Kingstown, RI.  However, he started his love for bronze art while living in Sedona, AZ many years ago. There he learned the art of lost wax bronze casting.  He created his first pieces from scraps retrieved from under the furnace used to melt the bronze. Marshall later experimented with various pouring techniques of wax and metal into or on various places.

“I am interested in reflecting the forces of nature in bronze and other mixed media–copper, stainless steel, glass, and stone in my pieces. I blend the raw and primal with grace and symmetry, masculine with feminine, sculpture with painting.”
