Federal disaster funds will be made available to Providence and Washington counties recovering financially from record snowfall that hit the area in February, the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced. The declaration covers the costs related to the snowstorm that hit the area on Feb. 17-18.
The state and communities will now tally up the costs of the storm to determine how much funding might be needed.
