
NEW YORK – Riparian Partners and Riparian Management Solutions, which offer investment banking services to private middle-market companies, has joined wealth-management firm Oppenheimer & Co.

Riparian Management Division will continue to be based in Providence and will assist Oppenheimer’s financial advisers to “reach out to their clients,” according to the news release put out by Oppenheimer.
“Our goal is to provide Riparian’s clients with experience and objective corporate finance advice,” said Brendan P. VanDeventer, who founded Riparian in 1993 and is currently a managing partner. “Oppenheimer’s team-based approach represents a strategic fit with our own.”
Riparian works on merger and acquisition deals for companies with up to $100 million in capitalization and advises underperforming businesses with liquidity, credit, structure or management issues.
