July 2: “Seining” we will use a seining net to filter through shallow water on the Sakonnet River and use field guides to indentify any plants and animals found. Common sights include grass shrimp, pipefish, green crabs, banded killifish, and sea lettuce.
July 9: “Sea Turtles” we will begin with an introduction about sea turtles including the different species, nesting, diet, and range. Then go on a walk along the beach to see where the sea turtles swim and eat.

July 16: “Collage Hike” we will gather artifacts including shells, flowers, rocks, leaves, and feathers from the trails to make a wildlife collage.
July 23: “Tracking Migratory Birds” we will begin with an introduction to the birds that migrate here, including maps of migratory paths, bird calls, and bird habitats. Then go hiking to see if we can find any.
July 30: “Rocky Shores” we will have an introduction about rocky shore zones, habitats, plants, and animals. Then go to a rocky beach to look at tidal pools and use field guides to indentify any organisms that are found.
