Starkweather receives Hanover award

EAST PROVIDENCE – Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. has been named the 2010 Hanover/Assurex agent of the year. The top honor recognizes outstanding performance and partnerships between The Hanover Insurance Group and its affiliated Assurex agents across the entire country.
“I am proud and excited that we have been named The 2010 Hanover/Assurex agent of the year,” Nat Calamis, Starkweather’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “Assurex is considered to be one of the best insurance agency networks in the country, and it is an elite honor to be the recipient of this award. Along with a crystal eagle trophy, the award comes with a $5,000 check – which will go to The Starweather & Shepley Charitable Fund, a new fund the insurance agency established earlier this year through The Rhode Island Foundation.
