What moment changed your life more than any other? I think it was the moment when we decided to move to Rhode Island. I had just finished my MBA and was planning to move back to California for a job when my husband got an opportunity to teach at Brown University. I told him I was willing to give Rhode Island a trial year and would spend the time looking for all the things to love about it. It’s now been almost a decade, and the people I’ve met and opportunities I have had here have been amazing.
What is your greatest attribute that you bring to your job? Systems thinking. Understanding how issues are connecting to other issues and where they fit within your larger strategy and goal.
Fox or MSNBC? I’m more a New York Times girl.
What are you looking forward to doing again the most post-pandemic? We have a big annual holiday party we host in our little house, and I’m excited to host events again and spend days cooking and baking for the people I love.
THE PROP: Sue AnderBois holds a giant fork that was a gift from her in-laws, originally as a kitchen decoration.
