SUMR Brands appoints interim CEO

WOONSOCKET – Summer Infant Inc., doing business as SUMR Brands, has appointed Stuart Noyes interim CEO of the company, effective Dec. 16.

Noyes is currently a managing partner at Winter Harbor LLC, where he was a co-founder. The firm specializes in turnaround and restructuring services, according to the company.

Noyes will take the interim role following the departure of CEO Mark Messner.

He is a skilled business tactician dedicated to analyzing SUMR’s innovative offerings to determine what decisions are best aligned with the future of our organization, its products, customers and investors.”

The company announced Messner’s departure in November. The company reported a $4.3 million loss in 2018 and most recently a $1.7 million loss in the third quarter of 2019.
