The Brandi Project, a Rhode Island-based organization that raises funds for dog-rescue groups, raised $4,618.00 at its annual fundraiser held February 28 at the Cowesett Inn in West Warwick.
The funds will be distributed to Paws New England and the East Greenwich Animal Protection League, both of which are devoted to rescuing and finding permanent homes for dogs, including those temporarily housed at high-kill shelters.
Including the two years before its official launch, The Brandi Project has raised $32,113.68 in four years.
Founder Jim Paolucci said, “I thank the community of dog lovers who came out and supported this great cause. The funds go to two highly effective groups that are tireless in their commitment to dog rescue.”
