How do you support community service work by your employees? Through our Reach for the STARS volunteer program, employees volunteer thousands of hours each year to provide event support, participate in fundraising walks, support virtual volunteer opportunities, deliver financial wellness presentations and programs, and lend their expertise by serving on nonprofit boards and committees.

Describe a new employee benefit(s) or initiative(s) your company has launched in the past 12 months. Washington Trust launched our first set of employee resource groups earlier in the year, which include ¡SOMOS! (Hispanic/Latino colleagues and allies), PRIDE (LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies), UNITY (Black, Indigenous, People of Color colleagues and allies), and ASCEND (a young professionals group). Response to these affinity groups has been incredible and the groups have already launched some programming opportunities, including meetups, educational panel discussions and volunteer events.
