Tomorrow Fund honors Domestic

CRANSTON – The Tomorrow Fund has honored Domestic Bank with its Service Organization Award for the bank’s annual golf tournament that raised $60,000 over three years for the nonprofit that provides financial and emotional help for children with cancer and their families.
In addition, contributions from bank employees, vendors and customers have reached more than $15,000 each year since 2007.
“For the past three years, Domestic Bank’s generous donations have supported families who are coping with a child who has cancer,” said Kathleen Connolly, development director for the Tomorrow Fund. “Their donations directly benefit parents and loved ones whose full-time job is to take care of their sick child. Every dollar makes their lives a little easier.”
Domestic Bank employees at each of their nine branch locations, participate in “Tomorrow Fund Thursdays,” spreading the word about the organization by wearing Tomorrow Fund T-shirts and distributing pamphlets.
“Under these circumstances, families are forced to change their everyday lives to take care of their child,” said Dean T. Holt, president of Domestic Bank. “We will continue to support them during their battle.”
