MIDDLETOWN – Internet service provider Towerstream will join Russell Investment’s global and national equity indexes on June 24.
The Russell Global Index and Russell 3000 Index serve as benchmarks for $3.9 trillion in institutional assets. The indexes are reconstituted each year to measure the current market and reflect 98 percent of worldwide investable securities.
“Our inclusion in the Russell Indexes is an important milestone in the development and expansion of our company,” said Jeff Thompson, Towerstream CEO. “Our inclusion to these important indexes offers Towerstream further exposure to the investment community.”
Towerstream reported $1.5 million in net losses in the first quarter of 2011 despite revenue growth, the Providence Business News reported in May.
