EAST GREENWICH – The Washington Trust Co. has set up shop in East Greenwich, following an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newest branch on May 13.

The new branch on Main Street is the 24th location of the Westerly-based bank and the first in East Greenwich. Company leaders have said previously the expansion is part of a wider strategy aimed at growing customers by entering new or underserved markets within the state.

The branch includes in-person banking and drive-up service, as well as a walk-up and drive-up ATM.
