“Leadership is typically defined by one’s title, years of experience and hierarchy,” stated an e-newsletter from Tech Collective advertising the event. “When people hear ‘leader,’ they may think boss, power and the C-suite. But leadership is not just about those things. You can choose to lead anywhere, at any time on your journey. You can find moments to lead and inspire others, regardless of your job title.”

The panel will feature four women from local businesses, each with a unique take on the subject of leadership: Deb Ricci, vice president of customer service at Carousel Industries in Exeter; Maeve Donohue, founder of Nami Studios and interim program director at the College & University Research Collaborative in Providence; Natalie Benkovich, project manager at AIPSO in Johnston; and Kayla Drozd, marketing manager at HiRoad in Providence.

The event will kick off at 6 with 15 minutes of networking, followed by the panel discussion from 6:15 to 7:15, and concluding with a breakout workshop from 7:20 to 7:50.

The WIL Nexus and Tech Collective event is free to the public, but attendees are invited to register through Eventbrite.

The Women in Leadership Nexus was founded in October 2016 to create a space for female leaders to come together with like-minded women and inspire one another to take action through a series of events and community-building initiatives.
