YMCA of Greater Providence salutes community partners

The YMCA of Greater Providence recently recognized three local supporters – Making Connections Providence, the Rhode Island Shriners and Mapes and Charlie Stamm – for being strong partners of the organization at its annual meeting.
“These partners make it possible for the organization to put its mission into action,” the YMCA said in a news release.
With help from Making Connections Providence, the YMCA is able to provide its Out of School Time academic services for youth in underserved schools. In addition, the nonprofit offers programming targeted toward children with cancer, which is made possible through the support and contributions it has received from the Rhode Island Shriners.
Finally, the YMCA thanked Mapes and Charlie Stamm for the financial and volunteer assistance they have provided to the West Bay Family YMCA.
The YMCA of Greater Providence has seven branches in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as an urban program branch and a summer camp. •
