Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen for the fourth consecutive week, and now average 21 cents per gallon less than just one month ago, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s Feb. 27 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, unleaded regular averaging $2.19 per gallon, 4 cents less than last week and 21 cents less than the $2.40 found on Jan. 30. A year ago at this time, the average price was $1.90.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for regular unleaded is 18 cents, from a low of $2.11 to a high of $2.29. Motorists should continue to shop around for the best prices in their area, AAA said.
