Joe Mongelli has been elected president of the New England Employee Benefits Council. Mongelli is currently the director of global benefit strategy at Covidien. He has worked as a consultant on corporate and executive retirement plans for 18 years. He holds a B.S. from New York University and an M.M. from the Manhattan School of Music. •
