Steven Mello has been named the director of dining and retail food operations at the University of Rhode Island. He has been an associate administrator for the university’s dining services since 1995 and brings more than 28 years of experience in food service management. He is a registered and licensed dietitian. He will develop practices that result in less environmental impact. •
